Welcome to the ranch

Serana is a modern retreat nestled on 53 private acres in Bastrop County, Texas. We created this place to bring together the comfort of boutique hospitality with the untamed beauty of the outdoors. After years of living in big cities we were craving a slower pace—and a way to build something tangible, something rooted. In 2020, we found this land, fell in love with its sprawling post oak trees and rolling grasslands, and never looked back.

When we started, there was nothing here but a house in need of a full renovation. Every piece of the guest experience has been designed from the ground up—with intention, curiosity, and a deep respect for the land. Our communal kitchen? It used to be an old cow pen. We’ve led the design process ourselves, choosing every color, texture, and material based on one simple question: can you find this on the land somewhere? We want each space to feel like it belongs here.

At Serana, our guests are at the heart of everything we do. Whether you're here for a proposal, a birthday, a quiet weekend, or just to breathe a little easier, we hope it feels like staying at a good friend’s house—casual, comfortable, and quietly memorable.
